Disable editing of only some object in Excel

I am using multiple Data Validation list drop downs on a worksheet that also contains shapes and pictures. When the End User selects from the drop downs they need to be able to edit the verbiage they choose. The worksheet will be password protected. If I uncheck "edit objects" the End User can edit the verbiage from the drop downs but they can also still edit the shapes and pictures. How can I disable the editing of shapes and pics but still be able to edit the verbiage chosen from the drop downs?

P.S. I dont want to use any other type of drop down
